                                TEACHERS/PRINCIPALS/VICE-PRINCIPALS

Northland School Division No. 61 is pleased to invite teachers and principals to apply for positions in all subject and grade levels for the 2010-2011 school year. 23 schools in the division offer instruction in grades K-12 to 2600 students in northern Alberta.   Details of our 23 school locations and communities can be found on this website.

We have 10 schools with approximately 60 students each, 9 schools with over 100 students and 4 schools with between 200-550 students.

We are one of the top-paying school divisions in Alberta.  We offer partial relocation allowance, subsidized housing at some locations, generous benefits, professional development and other incentives.

Knowledge of Cree, Dene language, ESL strategies and Smart Board skills would be definite assets.  All candidates must be eligible for teacher certification in Alberta and are required to provide an up-to-date RCMP criminal record check.

Details regarding current vacancies are listed on the Teachers link below and are advertised in the Edmonton Journal as well as the Apply to Education website at www.applytoeducation.com and the Education Canada website at www.educationcanada.com    We encourage you to sign up for the "job alert" feature on ApplytoEducation.com to be e-mailed when we post jobs on that site.

Applications are accepted year round.  Only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
